Lisbon, a world of discoveries
To know Lisbon is to discover the World and all the influences that make it a unique city, known for its light and flavours. In this eight-hour tour with a local guide, we want to provide a quiet visit with time to learn the history and know the most outstanding characters of the city, appreciate the heritage and the beautiful landscapes, registering the day with fantastic photos, real postcards to share with friends and family.
Belém, from Portugal to the world
At the starting point of the “Discoveries” and with the Tagus River as a company, we began the morning in Belém with a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower (both UNESCO heritage and magnificent exponents of Manueline art) and the Monument to the Discoveries, a 20th century sculptural ensemble that evokes Portuguese overseas expansion.
Visit one of the seven hills of the city
After the lunch, we continue our visit to one of the Sete Colinas (one of the seven hills of the city – typical name that Portuguese give to seven wonderful landscapes existing in Lisbon) until the Lisbon Cathedral, one of the Christian Reconquest symbol, unmistakably linked to the founding of Portugal. Here we can discover different architectural and artistic styles, from Romanesque to Gothic and Baroque.
Lisbon Cosmopolitan Downtown
At the end of our tour we will have free time to walking around and shop downtown.
